Sweet Grace Midwifery is a home birth practice in the Jacksonville area, offering holistic maternal care in the comfort of your home. This practice was birthed out of my heart’s desire to offer women continuity of care. Being the only midwife, I get to build lasting relationships, based on trust, with the women I care for. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and birth.

I truly believe changing the way babies are being born can have a lasting impact on our world. Babies deserve to be welcomed into an atmosphere of love and trust and women deserve an atmosphere of love, respect, and support.

  • I had the pleasure of having Rebecca care for me and our third child for our first home birth experience last year. She is so knowledgeable, patient, open to answer any and all questions and made me feel comfortable and confident going into this new adventure. I especially appreciate the compassion she showed through her care and her kind and gentle spirit, which was such a blessing throughout my pregnancy and labor/delivery. Labor/delivery is such an arduous process, but her presence there provided calmness and reassurance. Rebecca is an excellent midwife and I definitely hope to stay with her if our family is blessed with another baby!

  • It has been an honor to have Rebecca attend two of my births. First, as a birth assistant for my son who was born at home and was a surprise breech. Six years later, when I was pregnant again and attending prenatal appointments, I hoped that Rebecca would be the midwife on-call when I went into labor. Throughout my pregnancy, she provided me with not only wonderful care and advice, but with reassuring peace and wisdom. I believe God’s timing is perfect, and the night I went into labor, it was Rebecca who attended my birth. Knowing my history of surprise breech, Rebecca told me later she had reviewed all protocols for safely delivering a breech baby before arriving at our home, but thankfully, my daughter was still head down. I was able to have a beautiful water birth in the comfort of our home. Rebecca provided my daughter and I with excellent care, and having her as my midwife was a joy for my whole family. Without hesitation, I recommend Rebecca to anyone who is considering a home birth. She is kind, caring and knowledgeable, and with her training as both a midwife as well as a nurse, women can trust her as their caretaker throughout their pregnancy and labor.

  • As a first time mom, I had no idea what to expect. Throughout all of my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care, Rebecca was there with me. She cared as if it was her own child and body. She answered all my questions and gave me such a sense of peace and calmness. She reassured me and instilled in me the confidence I needed. She is knowledgeable and gifted at what she does. She is caring and loving with the sound of her voice. I had the best experience getting to know her throughout my pregnancy. Though my birth ended up at the hospital, Rebecca was still there supporting me through it all.

  • Goodness where to start, April 16, 2021 Midwife Rebecca Ray delivered my healthy beautiful little girl. She was so patient with me and made sure my every need was met. I had some pretty serious second degree tearing and Rebecca made sure that was taken care of as well. She even went out of her way and came to my house for the 48 hour checkup on a Sunday for my little one and myself. She answered all of my questions without hesitation.
